A must visit experience.

Visited here as part of a cruise ship tour and what a fabulous place it is. One way system ensures you pass every exhibit and if you spend time (we couldn't due to bus constraints) reading about the various items, you could easily spend 3-4 hours here. The layout is amazing and it is amazing that you could easily transport yourself to the 3 'zones' - Jungle, Reef & Deep Sea. Halfway round was a very small snack bar called Nemo’s, appropriately called as it is situated beside the Nemo Kids exhibit. Deciding to take on some sustenance and seeing it had a fair selection of offerings at pretty reasonable prices, I settled for a hot dog with all the trimmings. Paying in cash was interesting as it was done by inserting your money into a paypoint adjacent to the cashier, receiving your change and this automatically completed your ordering process. Back to your seat to wait its arrival and I had a problem, how do I eat such a crackingly large item. Good sized 'dog' with onions, ketchup, some other dressings I don't know and a with a lavish sprinkling of a hard cheese, it was extremely tasty. That plus coffee set me back 4 euro - great value. The exhibits are located on 3 levels and range from small cave like glass fronted area to a huge 3 storey tank with sharks and other large aquatics. A real thought provoker as we moved round the aquarium is the area devoted to the environment. To see and learn about the long term degradation of plastic products really does make you think. An excellent aquarium and well worth a visit.
