Brunelli's Steakhouse (298)

Not Michelin quality

When you display yearly Michelin badges and claim to have the best steaks this side of the Atlantic the bar is set high. Unfortunately on our visit this didn't happen. Our booking was for 7 pm and we arrived fifteen minutes early and were kept waiting outside with other diners. We were shown some very spectacular steaks which looked much less impressive on the plate. The black Angus ribeye was about half inch thick and quite fatty The waitress did not check the orders and my wife and I had to swap meals part way through. The veg was just a few peppers. There was a charge for water and bread. The desert was nice we had the tasting platter. The selling point was the sea view but the screen was not removed until 7.30 so all we had was the reflection of the interior. We have had some great steaks in Poland, the UK and Australia all which were better quality and value. It was above average but well over hyped for us for the price tag
