A great day out – amazing penguins!

We had a really enjoyable day visiting Loro Parque. It’s a very well-kept park and all the animals looked healthy, well fed and well cared for. My personal favourite was Planet Penguin – the snowy environment and seeing the penguins diving and sliding around was fantastic and really impressive. We watched most of the shows including the dolphins, killer whales and sea lions. While the shows were entertaining, we did feel a little unsure about that side of things personally, but the trainers were clearly very dedicated and knowledgeable. The park itself is beautifully maintained with lots to see and do, and we easily spent the whole day there. Tickets were €44 each and parking was €7 which felt reasonable for such a large attraction.
