Loro Parque is hands-down one of the most impressive zoos I’ve ever visited. It’s so much more than just an animal park; it feels like a lush, tropical sanctuary where conservation and education truly take centre stage. Here is why it’s a must-see: World-Class Rehabilitation: It’s incredibly heartening to see their commitment to animal welfare. Their rehabilitation programs and the work done through the Loro Parque Fundación show they are genuinely dedicated to saving endangered species and returning animals to the wild whenever possible. Stunning Botanical Gardens: Even if you aren't there for the animals, the grounds are breathtaking. There are hundreds of different plant species and exotic flowers that make you feel like you’re trekking through a real jungle. The Thai-themed architecture combined with the greenery is stunning. Educational Talks: The presentations aren't just for entertainment; they are packed with facts about marine biology and wildlife preservation. You walk away with a much deeper understanding of the challenges these animals face in the ocean and the wild. The Scale of the Park: Honestly, one day isn’t enough time to experience it all. Between the massive Penguin Planet, the aquarium’s shark tunnel, and the extensive aviaries, you really need to pace yourself or consider a two-day pass to see everything without rushing.
