waste of time with a small child

We went to Siam park with our 2 year old after being told it would be great for him and I would honestly say don’t waste your time, go fo aqua land which I seen after that people recommend with a toddler. Don’t get me wrong it looks AMAZING and so much fun for adults and older children but we were quite literally unable to do anything with our toddler. He is almost 3 and loves rides, and even the extra part of the lazy river he wasn’t allowed to do with his Dad holding him in a double ring. We went to the lost kingdom area which he enjoyed , I then got told off for taking him down a relatively small slide (bigger than a baby baby slide but nothing extreme) and then when I suggested I go down, he goes after then his dad, I was told no actually he’s too small ?? He could only use the slides at the right (3 teeny tiny slides) which he then got bored of. The other area Sawasdee was ok - again slides for kids but slightly bigger, however again we couldn’t take him on the one with the ring he had to go alone… even tho it was a kids slide , so when it says for “families” it’s not really. Granted we didn’t pay for him but we paid 2 adult tickets being told we could do some thing with him and we actually couldn’t do one ride. Look into it definitely before you go with a small child , aqua land is maybe better.
