Amazing day out – one of the highlights of Tenerife!
We visited Loro Parque during our holiday in Tenerife, and it was easily one of the best days of the trip. The park itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained, very clean, and full of lush tropical plants, which makes it feel more like a botanical garden than a zoo at times. Everything is well laid out and easy to navigate, and you can easily spend a full day there without getting bored. The variety of animals is incredible. From parrots (which the park is famous for) to dolphins, sea lions, penguins, tigers, and gorillas, there’s so much to see. The shows were a real highlight—especially the dolphin and sea lion shows, which were both entertaining and impressive. One of the standout areas was the penguin enclosure, which is seriously impressive and unlike anything we’ve seen before. The whole park feels very well cared for, and the animals appear active and well looked after. Staff throughout the park were friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of places to stop for food and drinks, making it easy to spend the whole day there comfortably. It can get quite busy, so I’d definitely recommend arriving early to make the most of your visit and avoid the biggest crowds. The only small downside is that it’s quite a long day if you’re travelling from the south of the island, and some parts can feel a bit crowded at peak times. Also, depending on your views, the animal shows might not be for everyone. Overall though, Loro Parque is an incredible attraction and a must-visit if you’re in Tenerife. It’s clear why it’s considered one of the top zoos in Europe, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Rating: 5/5
