Really great evening out

We visited Siam Park this evening, I can’t say we were particularly looking forward to it (were just going to please the child) but we genuinely all had such a fun night. We had heard lots of negative reviews during the day about the queues being an hour long for some slides and the ground being too hot to walk on so we opted for the evening. The park is open 8pm-midnight during the summer months. We got there at 7:10pm and they started letting people in around 7:25 to get lockers. Our taxi driver mentioned there can be up to 9,000 people during the day but it is more like 2,000 people at night so we were glad there would be a lot less people. The whole park was managed really well, we got a locker no problem. We were a bit apprehensive taking a child (10 year old) at night but it was absolutely fine and he loved it. We managed to get on loads of slides in the time as there were barely any queues. The maximum we did queue was about 10 minutes. The slides are conveniently categorised green, orange or red. We stuck to the green and orange but there was plenty to do. Our favourites were the jungle snakes and the Patong rapids. We caught the laser show at 10pm at the beach which was okay (but wouldn’t rush to it if you’re enjoying the slides) and then went in the wave pool. Would highly recommend but just be prepared that the waves are 11 feet tall. Not like usual wave pools I’ve been in! We ended the night on the lazy river which was all lit up and there is an optional slide at the end too which was good. Getting out of the park was easy, with a quick stop to the changing rooms. We got an uber back to our hotel which only took about 10 minutes to wait, but there are also buses outside if you would prefer.
