Queues, queues and queues.

We got a dual park ticket which gave admission to Loro Parque and Sima Park. We took advice we'd seen and got a taxi to the park for opening hoping that we would be able to get to the front for a couple of the rides but this didn't happen as I think everyone else had been given the same advice. Instead we went on the lazy river which is the longest in Europe. It's the longest as it's so packed that it takes ages to get through! If you want to go on the rapids, split off to the left on the later section of the lazy river and you can experience the rapids which were good. You can go on a continuous cycle of breaking off for the rapids and then returning to the lazy river just before the rapids turn off. Otherwise, you are allowed one trip through the river. There are 2 wave pools and one of them is huge and has tidal waves which were fun although we lost glasses, we managed to find them once the waves settled. Food is quite pricey in the park but there is a lot of choice and some of the cafes reduce prices towards the end of the day too. My son only had the chance to experience one 'thrill' ride and purchased a Siam Park waterproof phone bag to use on the ride. However, this failed massively and has resulted in thel loss of an iPhone. We stayed all day at the park and it was ok but I wouldn't go again. Far too many queues and no chance of riding more than a couple of the rides. Beware if buying a fast pass too as they don't cover all of the rides. Our of season may have been better but cutting the maximum capacity to the park would be a huge improvement.
