Great rides, terrible queues and customer service

The rides themselves are good, but unfortunately that’s about where the positives end. For us, Siam Park was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. The biggest issue was Saifa. We spent around TWO HOURS queuing, despite the sign at the entrance stating a wait time of around 30 minutes. After finally making it to the top, we discovered that the ride was operating with only one lane. If the ride is running at significantly reduced capacity and the wait is going to be several times longer than advertised, this needs to be communicated to guests before they join the queue. We would absolutely not have joined a two-hour queue had we known. To make matters worse, the final third of the queue is completely exposed to the sun. We spent around 30–40 minutes standing in direct sunlight, with virtually no shade. Despite wearing SPF 50, we ended up extremely sunburnt. In a place with this level of heat and sunshine, the lack of shade along such a long queue is completely unacceptable. The lockers were reasonably priced at €7, and the food and drinks were actually fairly reasonable for a theme/water park. Unfortunately, even the food service wasn’t a great experience. We were served by the rudest and most sour-faced barmaid I think I’ve ever encountered. There was absolutely no warmth or basic customer service. Ultimately, having good rides isn’t enough when you spend huge portions of your day standing in badly managed queues, in direct sun, with inaccurate wait times and poor customer service. The park has great rides, but our overall experience was awful. A one-star rating feels justified based on the experience we had. Siam Park really needs to address its queue management, communication about ride capacity, shade provision and customer service.
