Great Hotel, great holiday.

We have just arrived back from a weeks holiday at the Hotel Botanico and what a great holiday. The hotel was excellent from start to finish. The staff were all very nice and polite and very helpfull. The hotel left us with a sense of calm and tranquility. I don't think I have ever felt as relaxed. We were in a standard twin room, with a view over the Spa Garden which was very pleasant. The room was comfortable and very clean. Nice touch getting beds turned down every night and a chocolate left on our bedside tables. We really enjoyed the leisurely breakfasts, sitting outside near the pool in the morning sun. Choice at breakfast was excellent as the quality of the food and the way it was set out was 2nd to none. We were half board and had a choice of two restaurants, the oriental and the spanish, the italian was closed during our stay, it opens in June. We ate 3 times in the spanish restaurant and enjoyed the food very much but I do think my favourite was the oriental restaurant which we ate at 4 times. The menu was so good it we did not feel the need to eat out, unlike other hotels we have stayed in where you eat twice in the hotel then spend the rest of the holiday looking for decent food elsewhere. We enjoyed the spa area where it was very quiet and relaxing, heated out door pool was great. The bar area was nice and we did see some of the entertainment on an evening, some of which we enjoyed more than others, but on the whole it was nice. We enjoyed the early evening activities which included, how to make the best gin and tonic, how to make sangria, how to make a cocktail, all demonstrated by various members of staff who all did a great job and we all had the oportunity to sample the drinks which everyone who attendend enjoyed. I really liked this hotel and we will return next time we visit Tenerife. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay.
