Luxury all the way
I went to Tenerife in September 2014 for the International Parrot Convention. Hotel Botanico was the recommended place to stay, and I can see why. The rooms were clean, luxurious, and quiet. The service in all areas of the hotel, including the bars and restaurants, was impeccable. Even though I speak no Spanish the staff always seemed to understand me. We had the most wonderful breakfast buffet each morning with every type of breakfast food you could imagine. I was also delighted by the glassed indoor aviary right in the middle of the main restaurant. Should I attend the next convention in 2018 I will certainly plan to stay at the Hotel Botanico again.
