5 stars is not enough!

We have just returned from our first visit to Hotel Botanico, it won't be our last! Where to begin . . . We arrived to be greeted with a warm smile and a fruit cocktail, our bags taken to the room and our hire taken to the hotel car park for us, a sign of things to come! Our room was spacious and clean and overlooking the upmarket area of Puerto de la Cruz and the sea. The hotel has 3 restaurants, we tried all 3, they were all fantastic, although our favourite was Italian. Breakfast is incredible, with any food that you could ever imagine for breakfast to eat. We stayed half board, had our breakfast late and then didn't eat until dinner, all of this was included. There is an outdoor restaurant near the pool for lunch if you need it, prices are very reasonable. The hotel, gardens and Oriental Spa were out of this world, but what made our holiday was the staff, nothing was too much trouble, everyone from reception through restaurant to the chambermaids were polite and happy! If you want a relaxing luxury holiday, this is the place, but be prepared to come home a few pounds heavier! We're already planning a return holiday next year.
