The only luxury hotel that feels like home. Outstanding facilities, Spa and staff

We have just returned from staying at the Botanico for three nights after spending a week in Southern Tenerife. Botanico is simply outstanding and I have been in hundreds of hotels both through work and private travel and I have never felt as genuinely welcomed as I did in this hotel and Spa. The staff is simply outstanding and so kind and genuine I struggle to describe them adequately. We had a senior suite with the most beautiful view and the hotel is not huge but it is most certainly perfectly formed. The gardens are enchanting and the pool is not that big but more than enough for the size of hotel. The use of the Spa is included in the room rate (there are two exquisite pools there for over 16s) and is hands down the best Spa I've used. I'm comparing with places i've visited in the UK, USA, Hungary, Dubai, France, Italy, Greece and my husband has travelled extensively in the far east and agrees is is the best spa he has ever used whether you look at the Spa facilites and pools and also the treatments. I personally had fantastic treatments and service from Bhundi, Jessica and Rosie. They are so caring and competent and it is important to stress that the prices are also very fair. The Manageress of the Spa, the most elegant, professional and knowledgable french lady called Anne Marie is without any doubt running this establishment with a customer/guest focus that can be felt in every regard. When we arrived we were greeted by the delightful Pino and she is so (justifiably) proud of this hotel and she bends over backwards to make sure you have everything you need an more and again she makes you feel that she loves having you there. The breakfast is the best i've had anywhere in Spain and overall everything in this hotel from the bar and restaurants to laundry service is of the utmost quality. I was unwell one afternoon in the spa and the way they looked after me and helped me was remarkable and I'm so grateful for their kindness and care when almost everywhere else i would have been sent off to my room. They even sent up tea after I returned to my room to help me feel better. Puerto de La Cruz and the surrounding area has so much to offer and I urge you to try this destination and hotel. This is a truly special destination and hotel and you will never regret going there. My grateful thanks to the staff for a most fantastic stay and I can't wait to go back in February.
