The best 5 star hotel....not to be missed!!!

The Hotel Botanico does not disappoint on any level. We traveled to the Canary Islands to vacation and celebrate my husband's 45th birthday. We are currently here enjoying our stay and even extended by an extra night. The staff is exemplary in every way, they are genuinely friendly, helpful and want you to enjoy every moment of your stay. Our room was upgraded to a sea view and we are so appreciative. It is absolutely beautiful, located on the third floor. The room is spotless, the bed is very comfortable and everyone is spoiled by 2x a day cleaning services. The hotel is very eco friendly and goes out of it's way to conserve while still providing the utmost in comfort and luxury. Each and every staff member greets you genuinely when you are out and about and make you feel welcome. From the first welcome drink of lovely juice, to the fun and interesting cocktails offered in the first class bar to the best breakfast buffet we have ever seen the hotel will not disappoint. We travel often and usually stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel will not be outdone. The best treat of all is the thermal spa circuit included in your stay. Trust me, this is not to be missed. We arrived a bit jet lagged and tired and were able unwind and spend a solid hour enjoying the saunas (there are several types,) the ice room (incredible if you have any joint pain) and the warm and relaxing pools. You are given a guideline of the best order to enjoy the spa and it truly works if you follow the protocol. There is absolutely no charge, they offer clean towels and there is plenty of space. You can then relax, have lunch by the pool, or enjoy there amazing restaurants for dinner. We were not traveling with children, however, all were well behaved with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their vacations. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Sebastian at the front desk was incredibly helpful and has a terrific sense of humor. He provided us with help in changing our tickets to remain an extra day, told us how to send beautiful honey back home from the local post office) gave us change when we needed and always greeted us kindly. Sebastian...Thank you for making our trip the best experience, you are a true asset and the hotel is lucky to have you here. All of the wait staff and bar staff were also helpful and delivered the top level of service. This is truly a 5 star hotel, and after having stayed at the Bangkok Oriental in Thailand I can honestly say that this hotel is better in almost every way. If you are looking for a hip, trendy, loud hotel, this is not for you. If you truly value gracious service, fine dining, spotless and luxurious surroundings with a well trained and professional staff, book a stay here. We cannot wait to return.
