Total Luxury and Relaxation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was extremely comfortable, well appointed and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room looked out over the spa garden and nearby hills. The hotel staff also arranged a lovely surprise for my wife's birthday - chocolates, fizz and decorations. This was much appreciated. Thank you! You really do not need to leave the hotel as everything you need is there. However, if you want to go to town, a shuttle bus runs regularly from the hotel and back. If you want to travel further the staff will arrange trips for you on scheduled tours (do Mount Teide if you get the chance - it's worth getting up early for!). Of course you may prefer to visit the spa area, which is extensive and provides everything from pools, jacuzzis and saunas which were free, to add-ons such as massages and other treatments which we had to pay for, but which were well worth the money! Regarding food, we ate in all the hotel restaurants over the course of our stay. They all served quality food with attentive staff, but eating is the hotel is pricey compared with the local restaurants many of which are worth visiting. We ate at a couple within 10 mins walk of the hotel and had excellent meals. On the food front the hotel menu caters for those with food allergies. There are coloured spots for allergies to gluten, eggs, milk etc. I am a coeliac so welcomed this, but the coloured spots were hard to distinguish in the reduced restaurant lighting. I would consider changing the menus to numbers or letters when they are next printed to make it easier to read. On the plus side, I did get good quality GF rolls with meals which was appreciated, and breakfast was a delight catering for all tastes - even Bucks Fizz at the weekend! If I had to pick out anything else which could be better (and I am talking minor things really) perhaps the service around the pool area could have been more proactive. I had to walk to the pool bar to get drinks. I might have expected a regular waiter/waitress patrol to have saved me this effort. Oh yes and the room shower was rather primitive by today's standards - totally functional but in need of a makeover. But these minor points apart, we had a terrific stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We are delighted to read of what a lovely stay you enjoyed and have taken enormous pride in sharing your compliments with our team. Thanks a lot to remark our surprise for your wife's birthday, we think small details are the biggest. We take note about your opinion to place the hotel menu banners with food allergies a little bit bigger. Also we are going to report the opinion to have regular waiter/waitress in the pool area.
