Superb!!

I adore this hotel and ALL its staff! My first stay here and I would 100% return! After a disastrous start to my holiday at another hotel the Hotel Botanico came to my rescue and gave me the best service I have had on any holiday ever. Helena on reservations liaised with my Mother back in the UK to get me booked into the hotel, as I was changing from the awful one, and Nadine on reception was kind, warm and caring while I stood there in floods of tears Hoping they could help! They did! From the minute I arrived nothing was too much trouble! Drink on arrival, happy smiling faces. Everyone asking how I was today, I literally felt so special straight away. The hotel has a very old fashioned regal feel about it which I wouldn't usually like (I'm more contemporary) however the level of service that you get here makes you feel like you are a Royal.. It's oddly wonderful! My room overlooked the pool area and the mountain straight in front which was quite breathtaking on a clear day! The room was big and had a safe and mini bar. Plenty of storage and a good sized balcony. I explored the hotel and found the Spa which was the main reason for my holiday in the first place. I had been working so hard and separately needed to unwind. The Spa was amazing! The staff there were incredible, Jana, Yessica, Valouka and the Spa Manager in particular, were always smiling! I was poorly with a cold when I arrived and they were all genuinely concerned that I got better as soon as possible! How lovely of them! The 4 treatments I had were just lovely and the spa itself was on a par with UK Ragdale Hall but in the sun... In my eyes perfection! I was half board so ate in the Spanish & Italian restaurants every night. I never once had a poor meal or service. As a solo traveller I was nervous about eating alone but the waiting staff made me feel very comfortable, they talked just enough and seemed to observe from a distance and not intrude while I was reading my book. At night time when I returned to my room another maid had been in to half pull back my bed sheet, place my nightwear neatly on the bed, place a little mat and slippers by my bed and pop a little chocolate on the side. How lovely! It's touches like this that set hotels apart and it was really nice to feel cared for! Breakfast was incredible!! I have never seen such choice and with such tasty high quality food and again... Wonderful service! The pool bar served tasty food too and offered a drinks waiting service round the pool. I could go on and on about this hotel but the overriding thing for me was the staff and how they made you feel! This was so important to me and Hotel Botanico delivers 24/7! Thank you so so much to ALL the staff in the hotel for giving me such a perfect stay but especially to Nadine! X
