Great hotel for the over 60's.
We came for a family, week-long holiday. The hotel itself is not a pretty building from the outside, but inside is well laid out, clean, and tidy. The best point of the hotel is the level of service, particularly from front of house, where the staff are superb and provided some of the best service levels I have witnessed anywhere. The hotel is not really for children. Yes, there may be a kids club (if you want to put your child under 10 into temporary care for an hour or two), but there are no child-oriented activities organised by the hotel. The hotel Spa is beautiful and well appointed with numerous steam rooms and saunas, but under 16's aren't allowed access, which leaves you in a dilemma if your 13 year old daughter wants to come with you. The hotel pool was heated to a welcoming temperature and was clean. The pool area seemed to struggle to provide enough sunbeds (or towels) to cater for a hotel at capacity. Breakfast was pretty good with a wide selection of foods on offer. The lunch menu was disappointingly narrow in terms of choice. The worst point of the hotel was the price of the food in the hotel's restaurants. We ate in the Spanish restaurant, La Parilla, and whilst the food was decent (although not outstanding), it certainly wasn't value for money. It could actually be described as bordering on a rip-off, and this was clearly reflected in the small number of people eating there in a week when the hotel was full. This really left a sour taste (pardon the pun) as overall we felt the hotel was a lovely place with good facilities and moreover a great level of service.

Dear Guest, Thank you so very much for your special compliments; which we have proudly shared with all the team. It was an enormous pleasure to have you stay with us and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much, in special the breakfast buffet and our staff service level. That is just how we want our visitors to feel and something we strive to achieve. We regret that our child activities did not entirely meet your expectations. Beside the Mini Club, we have a unique program in cooperation with the Loro Parque in which we organize themed tours that allow children to learn and have fun. Children don´t have access to the Spa to ensure relaxation and well-being of all customers, keeping it as an oasis of calm and, although we are sure that if her daughter would behave extremely well, we can not make exceptions to avoid the discomfort of other customers. Regarding the hammocks, we try placing more available to customers when is required. We do very much hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you once again in a near future and thank you for staying.
