Lovely short break

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel for 5 nights in September. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They offered me a refreshing drink during check-in, after which one of the staff brought my luggage upstairs and showed me to my room. I ordered room service immediately, so I can then rest for the night. Room service was really efficient as they delivered the food quickly. The Pad Thai I ordered was tasty and I discovered that they served soya milk, which was excellent as I am lactose intolerant - not many hotels do. Breakfast was amazing for the wide selection of fruits, juices, continental/hot breakfast, freshly cooked omelette, pastries etc. - I was spoilt for choice! They hand you snippets of daily news including suggestions of activities to consider (external e.g. Siam Park, and in the hotel e.g. wine tasting) and hotel entertainment for that evening, which I think is really useful if you are not organised or just want a holiday to relax. There is an outdoor swimming pool and bar nearby where you can sit and chill. They have a spa with indoor/outdoor pool and jacuzzi areas complete with steam, sauna and relaxing areas. The spa offers different classes every day like yoga and tai chi - you will get a schedule of these so you can book in advance. They also have a number of treatments - I had a massage, which was really good. The garden around the hotel is fabulous - you see butterflies, birds, swans/geese, lizards with a pond and fountain surrounded by a variety of plant life and trees. It was all very zen-like to walk around in, sitting on the benches dotted around. In terms of location, the hotel is a short drive from the North airport but it is not very near the town centre (for walking). However, they offer a free shuttle service throughout the day to and from the hotel, so you can easily pop to town. There are restaurants nearby, which you can easily walk to - one is just directly opposite that serves quite nice food. However, the hotel itself has a few restaurants, which you can dine in if you don't feel like venturing out to other areas. Judging from the room service, I would think the food would be really tasty. The room (delux double) was a good size, with a flat screen TV on the wall, big bathroom and a balcony with chairs and table, so you can sit outside though the views are slightly restricted unless you are standing - I was out every day and never got to use the balcony. The room was cleaned every day and they do a turn down service, leaving a chocolate by the bedside table every evening! It is air conditioned, which was great as 29-30 Celsius was a bit too hot for me! You get free Wifi as well. I would highly recommend this hotel for the many activities they offer, but mostly for the exceptional service. I have a back problem so asked the hotel reception if I could borrow a yoga mat to do some back exercises in my room - they immediately rang the spa to ask if they had a spare mat, which they had and they let me keep it for the duration of my stay. When I found the TV did not work, I rang reception and they immediately sent someone up to fix it. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended to my friends!
