Close to perfection.

We stayed for 12 days over Christmas & enjoyed perfect weather throughout. The Botanico was one of the best hotels we have ever visited. We stayed in a Penthouse room (505) with views that were truly stunning & we would recommend the upgrade from a deluxe double as being well worth the extra cost & on our next visit we may seek one of the adjoining suites. So many positives have been said about the welcome, staff going beyond the call of duty, lovely rooms, good TV & Wi Fi quality, Spa facilities, etc. We would agree with everything despite the fact that the hotel seemed to be fully booked during our stay everything ran so smoothly. Whilst not wishing to be negative there are a few small things I would mention. We were on half board but although there were at least 2 of the 3 restaurants open every night we would have liked a buffet option providing basic dishes e.g. fish n' chips, roast beef & Yorkshire pud, apple pie, etc. Nearby beaches are all small with black sand & no promenade walks as in Costa Adeje or Maspalomas. Evening entertainment apart from a visit from a large local folk group was usually provided by a musical duo who lacked any "wow" factor. Overall the quality of service & the extensive facilities more than overcame these minor issues. A typical example of how the staff really seem to care & please arose when I stupidly left a HDMI cable & an I Pad connector still attached to the TV on departure. Upon arrival home I e- mailed Pino the reception manager who promptly located the gadgets & arranged to forward them to my home that same day.
