just the break we needed

We were looking for peace and quiet, a bit of sun and some time to relax in nice surroundings. We got everything we wanted and more at Hotel Botanico. The hotel is in a beautiful setting; the garden is superb and perfect for a gentle stroll in the evening. The running water, the koi, the swans and the butterflies all lend themselves to the tranquil atmosphere. The spa is also very good and we had some lovely treatments there. There are also some interesting artworks on show - it's not ultra modern but its a hotel with a soul. The restaurants were all good and food was delicious. But what really makes this hotel is the staff. They could not do enough for us. It was my partners birthday whilst we were there and they left cake and cava in our room and put some chocolates and decorative towel swans on our bed, with a card from the staff. It was such a lovely touch and really made his birthday. I didn't even mention it, the maid must have noticed the card I gave him in the morning. I also have food allergies and I was really surprised about the attention to detail the staff had - usually I have to keep reminding people, but they were fantastic. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - we will definitely be returning. Thank you Hotel Botanico for a wonderful holiday.
