Many positives . . .
This is undoubtedly a very good hotel. There are so many positives - excellent staff, super ambience and gardens, first class rooms, and excellent breakfast buffet. Our only disappointment was the two occasions we had meals in the hotel apart from the excellent breakfasts. We had one dinner in the hotel's Italian restaurant and one lunch in the main restaurant. Both were disappointing. On both occasions the service was very slow. Also the quality of one starter on each occasion disappointed - the Classic Minestrone in the Italian restaurant, and the fish croquettes at lunch. Happily, with a little research, one can find good alternatives in the area. So apart from these minor dining disappointments we very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Botanico.
