This hotel saved our vacation in Tenerife

We were somewhat unlucky with our recent trip to Tenerife as the weather was not what we expected (heavy rains with very strong winds for 3 days) plus our expectations about Tenerife (first visit and too high expectations) were very different from the reality. This could have become a really boring vacation if not for this hotel. Really really friendly and nice people working there - this starts with reservations (I booked myself by email) and goes through the whole stay. We booked their presidential suite and it was incredible. Really top quality, huge, beautiful and well maintained. Housekeeping service was one of the best I have ever seen - everything done perfectly every time. Great SPA - this is really a strong feature of this hotel. Big facility and a lot of high quality professionals. Given the bad weather, everyone wanted to go to the SPA but it was easy to book even just one day in advance. Everyone in our family liked the treatments there. Now some negative experience (I still gave "excellent" despite those): - Spanish restaurant at the hotel was a real disappointment. This is not the type of Spanish cuisine you expect at the luxury hotel in Spain - real mediocre quality (total surprise after so many trips to different places in Spain). We went there for dinner our first day and did not go to any other restaurant in the hotel because of that experience except for breakfasts (they were nice and great room service for breakfast also). But this negative feature is more about restaurant than the hotel and we found other good places outside the hotel. - Somehow no real concierge or we missed him/her every time. Everyone at the reception was happy to help but we had some issues in getting proper concierge service in finding what to do. But we managed that at the end.
