A pleasant surprise!

It was our first time in Tenerife and we were looking for somewhere a bit different to the large resorts in the south of the island. The Hotel Botanico had some good reviews so thought we would give it a try and we have nothing but praise for the staff at the hotel. People have commented that the hotel is a bit old fashioned and if smiling attentive service comes with that we are quite happy. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is tremendous. We enjoy walking so were happy with the 20 minute walk down to the harbour area. We only at in the hotel once but the food was delicious there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance - we would particularly mention Olivia's, just opposite the Botanic Gardens, for a very reasonable well cooked meal. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well.
