Perfect first holiday, would definitely return!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Botanico for a week in July - our stay couldn't have been better. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and were offered a drink. When checking in we found out that our room had been upgraded to an ambassador suite, which we were really shocked and happy about. The room was spacious with a beautiful view from the balcony. Rooms are cleaned twice a day with fresh towels, bed sheets and really nice chocolates which were a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing! Couldn't have been better, they have everything you would want and plenty of fruit - one day we ordered room service for breakfast which I would highly recommend, so relaxing. We ate in the Italian restaurant twice, this was nice but we didn't feel as there was many options on the menu to eat there any more and did not fancy anything on the menu in the Spanish restaurant, the oriental restaurant was closed at this time but this did not bother us as we were quite happy to eat out. However, would have been nice if there was one buffet style restaurant. The pool areas were beautiful and lounged around the spa pool for the majority of our stay, couldn't have been anymore peaceful. Whilst we were there we bought a twin ticket and visited Loro Parque and Siam Park - both I would highly recommend especially for families, would definitely return and transfers were made easy through the hotel. Staff are extremely accommodating, with my boyfriend ordering me flowers as a surprise to our room for our anniversary - with this the hotel surprised us with a cake and complimentary bottle of champagne which we were really thankful for, they couldn't have done enough for us throughout our stay. Nothing is to much for them and they deliver a high standard of customer service which we were so pleased with. One minor minor issue was that there were quite a few loose tiles in the spa pool which my boyfriend managed to slice open his hand on, any one could have done this. However it did not effect our stay and was dealt with in the correct way. Perfect holiday if you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful place to stay. Our first holiday couldn't have been better!
