Comfort & service

We were in Room 440 which appeared to be a smoking room as an ashtray was provided but it didn't smell smokey. The room was quiet and comfortable, with a fantastic bathroom which had a modern shower, a large bath and two sinks. The balcony, which overlooked the swimming pool, had sunshine early morning but in shade later on - which suited us admirably. Wifi in the room is free but rather slow during popular hours. We found that it was speedier in the bar area. Unfortunately tea/coffee making facilities aren't automatically provided but at a charge of 5 Euros per day - something which I found puzzling and definitely a disappointment. All staff spoke English, at least, enough to assist us when asked. The receptionists were especially helpful and even knew our names after a few days - we were only there for a week. We had to ask about the courtesy bus as it wasn't mentioned in any of the information available in our room. However it was very efficient and run on an hourly basis with a break mid-day. On one occasion there were more customers than the bus could hold so the driver made a special return journey to pick up those left behind. A hotel we would be more than happy to recommend to our friends.
