What a wonderful place!

I really can't praise this hotel too highly. From the moment we arrived and were given a welcome drink while we checked in, then were escorted by the Concierge to our beautiful room overlooking the beautiful gardens and pool, not to mention the spectacular sight of Mount Tiede, we were thoroughly spoiled. The hotel is amazing, the hospitality is exceptional, and the staff really go out of their way to make sure that guests have a fantastic stay. Nothing is too much trouble. There was a large gala event being held at the hotel when we were there, and everyone was very busy, but they still managed to give a 5 star service. We were given a guided tour, and the Bill Clinton suite was amazing! Thanks to Suzanna, the very nice Public Relations lady for taking time out of her busy schedule. Breakfast deserves a special mention. Everything you could possibly want, and some that we wouldn't even have thought of. Chocolate fountains at breakfast anyone? 😄 The servers at the omelette station made omelettes to order, or fried eggs, or pancakes. The selection of fruit, meats, cheeses, fish........ Such a great selection, and such great quality. We have been lucky to stay in a few 5 star hotels in our time, but this one has to be our favourite. All the little things make the difference. The Spa is a real haven of tranquility. The indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful, not to mention the jacuzzi in a cave, and the ice room is not for the faint hearted! The gardens are beautiful, with fountains, and turtles swimming around, and black swans. The flowers are stunning. Our return flight was quite late at night. The Reception staff arranged for us to have a late checkout, and we were able to spend a few more hours in the Spa. Heaven.... The whole place is special. We will definitely return. Hopefully soon.
