Being thoroughly spoiled for a week

Just returned from our first visit to Tenerife, staying at the lovely Hotel Botanico. Right from the start we were made to feel welcome and valued. Our room was very comfortable, with views of Mount Teide, and, closer to us, the hotel pool and beautiful gardens. Breakfasts were fantastic, with a superb choice of food on offer. We booked B&B there but ate in the hotel restaurants on 3 of our nights, good service and lovely food each time. We loved the spa, and, as we were wanting a very relaxing week, spent a lot of time by the spa pool, and trying out the various jacuzzis and circuit of various steam, sauna etc rooms. We went to the hotel lounge each evening after dinner, where the bar staff were helpful and very knowledgeable - the bar had an amazing selection of gins, so I tried a number of them over the week and have come home more knowledgeable about gin and with a shopping list. All in all a super week, in a beautiful hotel, staffed by amazing staff. Would happily go again.
