What a wonderful way to relax in beautiful surroundings!

Having never been to Tenerife before we wanted to find somewhere away from the the main tourist area in the south. We found the Hotel Botanico on the web and friends who have visited some 15 times already confirmed that it is the best hotel ever...so we booked and just loved every minute of our 6 day stay. From the moment of arriving the staff were attentive but not intrusive, the hotel is beautifully furnished, the flowers just lovely and the gardens delightful. The breakfast buffet is superb, especially the omelettes made by the young man who smiles as he cooks. The Oriental Spa is truly relaxing...we loved the various 'rooms' where we soaked up the atmosphere every morning before breakfast. I had an amazing facial on our last day, thanks to Ursula. The gin and tonic mixing demo was fun, as was the wine tasting. The music in the bar hall at night was an enjoyable end to the day. We went on a hotel tour and loved the suites...maybe next time! It is easy to get into town, drives up to Mt Teide are magic, there are lots of lovely little places to eat very near the hotel to make a change from the hotel restaurants. The Botanical Gardens are around the corner...just so much to do and enjoy. We will certainly return to this gem of tranquility, calm and superb service.It was a shame to have to come home.
