Relaxing spa hotel

The greeting starts the feel good factor, welcome drink, parking your car, showing you how everything works in your room. The bedrooms have a seperate door to the hall which shields noise, comfy beds, plenty of space, lovely balcony overlooking pool, great for reading. The only minor disappointment is lack of grip in bath for showering, but otherwise very traditional hotel. We tried the Spanish restaurant but the food was very rich and lacking a bit of quality, the Thai restaurant was excellent as were the breakfasts, lunch salads were a little lacking in imagination, but the prawns were excellent. The spa is very good, lots of variety, though surround to indoor pool can get slippery. Generally the staff were excellent and any issues were dealt with quickly. The pool and gardens are beautiful. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, but the foursome on Saturday night was excellent, lots of dancing. A great place to come and relax.
