Extra touches made a visit special
A grand hotel with manicured gardens, a classy spa, great breakfast buffet and friendly staff, always ready for a quick chat. The clientele tend to the senior end of the spectrum, the hotel is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The oriental spa is attractively themed, although on cool November afternoons, the indoor pool could have been a touch warmer. You'd expect all that from a five star hotel. What got this my five star review was the extra touch - for my wife's birthday we came back to the hotel after a wander round the town and no sooner had we got back the room, when a lovely cake, and a bottle of fizz were delivered, along with a card. Nice touch, great hotel.
