Absolutely Perfect

We stayed here for a week in September. Our first time in the north of Tenerife - noticeably greener and more lush than the more arid southern part of the island. The weather is a little cooler and more cloudy that on the coast, but we still has plenty of sun. The Hotel Botanico is located near to Mount Tiede so has some nice views. The hotel is around 1.5 km from the coast; a good walk down and back up a hill (steep in some places!). The hotel runs a regular courtesy bus into the town centre. The hotel is beautiful - elegant, spacious, clean. Our room was large and well appointed with a nice balcony overlooking the hotel putting green and sea in he distance. The staff were first class throughout. Welcoming, helpful, efficient. Food was also first class - our favourite was the Oriental which served some of the best Thai dishes we have had. Equally good was the Italian restaurant which has a large outside seating area which is lovely in the evening. The outside restaurant - La Palmera Real - was great during the day with a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, pizzas, pasta dishes, etc. The spa facilities were superb - pleasant and relaxing, a well-equipped gym and a range of treatments are available. We had a fantastic week here and are planning a return.
