Second winter break

We were here in 2016 and enjoyed it so much we booked again for January 2017. We were not disappointed even though the weather this time has been mixed. It's a lovely comfortable hotel, the staff are very helpful and we feel looked after. Breakfast is plentiful and has kept us going until the evening. We have made good use of the Spa this time which is a superb indoor facility, as well as the gym and outdoor pools. We've explored the surrounding area and enjoyed eating at the many and varied restaurants. The shuttle bus into town is a good alternative if you don't fancy the downhill 1 mile walk. We know the town very well and after many visits are still finding new places to eat and have a drink. The shopping is good too. Lots to do and see and always a treat to come back to this lovely hotel. Only two bits of feedback hence the 4 point rating; the hairdryers are poor quality - in a 5 star hotel I expect a powerful dryer that I can use away from the bathroom if I choose and which doesn't need me to hold a button down all the time to operate; and room service is too slow.
