Service with a smile

An almost faultless hotel, the staff were fantastic and made Clare's birthday a real treat, the rooms were lovely, comfortable and well equipped, and very well serviced, the surrounding gardens were beautiful and the spa was brilliant, especially our masseuse, Tui. The hotel's restaurants were a bit hit and miss, the best was the Oriental, with flavoursome Thai curries, the Italian came a close second with excellent risottos. Strangely the local cuisine-themed Spanish restaurant was not quite up to speed, however with good local restaurants nearby, it was easy to dine well. And we did. We will not forget the care and attention paid by the staff, and the birthday cake, the flowers, and the two swans on our bed (made by the service staff from bath towels!) was inspired and unforgettable.
