Memorable silver wedding anniversary stay.

So glad we chose this hotel last minute ahead of all the others on Tenerife. About an hours transfer time from the airport in the south. Would recommend hotel VIP transfer a little bit more expensive than others but luxury and a nice relaxing drive north. A small hiccup on arrival as we waited over an hour for our cases to be delivered to the room. Reception and concierge were busy but seemed more interested in the people checking out than their new guests. Even after a phone call still no sign of cases so had to go and collect them myself. After a long journey all you want to do on arrival is freshen up and a change of clothes to start your relaxing holiday. Just a slight negative to feedback to the management. However the rest of our experience of our stay was superb. On arrival to our room a lovely gesture of complimentary cava cake and chocolates with the bed decorated in swans made from towels and petals. The room a very large ambassador suite 316. Lovely ocean view overlooking the immaculate gardens and putting green. Beautifully luxuriously decorated with double balcony separate seating area with a fantastic bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The rest of the hotel is just as beautiful and luxuriously decorated. They have two pool areas a family pool with a restaurant serving lunch. We ate there every day and the food was very good. The service at times a bit slow but maybe just not enough staff. The other pool area is adults only and includes a wonderful spa which all looked amazing and very calming. A very nice heated pool and plenty of sunbeds and space. With a lovely big Jacuzzi to relax in. The breakfast was outstanding with just about everything you could imagine to eat and drink. Their are several restaurants to choose from. We chose to eat at one in particular every night because it was fantastic. La Parrilla has a wonderful sea view setting with a very traditional rustic Spanish decor and ambience. The food and service from all the staff was excellent. But what made it for us was Karl the manager who was first class. Thanks for a lovely break to remember and we will be back.
