Amazing

I don't really know where to start with a review. It would take me too long to talk about the full beauty of this hotel. We had such a lovely room, on the 3rd floor, overlooking the spa gardens. Talking of which, the spa is amazing. While there I had a facial (which you pay for) and it was so relaxing. Thank you to Ursula, you have magic hands. But a great deal of the spa facilities are free and we used it often. The gardens are breathtaking. If you go to this hotel the gardens are a 'must' at night. Its so beautiful to wander - in the day of course also, but at night it has pretty lights on the bridges and all along the pathways. Waterfalls, Black swans and other birds that make you want to stand and stare. The breakfasts are first class. We had lunch a couple of times and the service, as with everywhere in this hotel, was of high standard. We were there on a B&B basis and did eat dinner one evening in the hotel too. It was so lovely. There are 3 Al a Carte restaurants but only two were open when we were there. We chose Italian. In the evening there is some entertainment in the beautiful bar hall. Very classy indeed. That's the bar hall AND the acts. There is a little free bus that can take you to nearby Puerto de la Cruz. You can walk but its quite hilly and so I never tried it. A taxi back, if the hotel bus has stopped, is also quite cheap. It was my birthday while we were there and I still can't believe the fuss they made of me. I'll never forget it. All in all, this is a hotel with very high standards, beautiful décor wherever you go, happy and welcoming staff, and we can't wait until we can afford to go back. Saving starts today!!.
