A true 5 star hotel. First visit for 30 years.

We have just had a stayed at, what can only be described as a true 5 star. Sadly only a short visit on this occasion. You are very warmly and friendly greeted on arrival, something that lacks in most hotels these days. Check in was quick and painless, just what you need. Nothing is to much trouble here, they do their utmost to please in every area. The other guests are also relaxed and friendly which makes a wonderful atmosphere to unwind and relax. Staff remember and call you by name, only found this at the Taj Hotel in London over the last 10 years or so. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed, everything you could need, if not just a quick call and there it was for you. We had a meal in la Parrilla restaurant, excellent, food and service throughout, fine dining. Our room over looked the pool area and gardens, shame we had rain when we were there. But will explore on our next visit. We didn’t visit the Spar on this occasion due to limited time. I did take time to read some of the other comments about the hotel, we found the negative comments totally unfounded, possibly didn’t know what to expect from a hotel of such high standards. If they had stayed at Hilton group it would make sense, Hotel Botanical is in a league well above most so called 5 star hotels. We are now looking forward to going back next year if not before.
