Beautiful.

The setting, in wonderful gardens, is superb. The hotel is extremely nice, but in the winter the air-con only blows hot, or is off, no cooling! The rooms are very nice otherwise. There are two heated pools for swimming, and another in the spa, use of which is included in the price. The massage choice is extensive, and the leg and foot one I had was good. The breakfast buffet is very nice. Seating is well provided for in the restaurant and pool area, plenty of loungers and chairs, and plenty of shade if necessary. We ate out in the local restaurants rather than in the hotel, as just within a few hundred yards are masses of little eating places, for good food and drink at half the hotel pice. The hotel provides a mini-bus transfer to town, regularly, if one doesn't fancy the steep return journey on foot, as the hotel is high on the hill overlooking Puerto de la Cruz, with fabulous views of the harbour, and of Mt. Teide (if not concealed by cloud). Many people at the hotel come for several weeks, in the winter, and we can see why. It's an excellent hotel, and deserves its plaudits.
