Poema del Mar (1334)

Worth a visit

Went here this week while on holiday & it was worth the time. I'm always a bit in two minds about any animal, fish etc in captivity but this place seemed quite good. The displays are well set out with small screens that scroll the information over several screens. This does mean you have to stand & wait for the display to change to see all the information on that display. It's well set out with man made rocks & plants etc & covers several levels mainly with ramps. The main tank has a huge glass screen on one side when you get to it with sharks, rays & a whole variety of fish swimming around with staff constantly wiping little fingerprints off! There is a snack bar on the way round & a tiny one in reception when you get to the end. It advertised a coffee & muffin for €3.20 which I didn't think was bad. The muffin was nice but the coffee cup is tiny & you just about drink it in one mouthful. There's the usual gift shop & on a quick glance the prices seemed about on a par with other attractions. It took me about 1½ hours to walk round & take pics but could be longer with kids or at busy times.
