IPhone 6 stolen!
Expensive hotel for location, many patrons were returnees and older crowd who had been going for years. Spa is well laid out. Botanical Gardens (imagine Kew but more trees than flowers) a short distance away. Left (Forgot?) my NEW phone in bedroom in haste to catch hotel transfer connecting with local bus to see the Loro Parque attraction. On our return several hours later, phone had been stolen. Contacted police, thereafter hotels management gave us very little assistance as they felt matter was now in police hands and it was no longer for them to resolve. Stonewalled quite a few times by Guest Relations (1 woman) and management - eventually found that maintenance staff had been in our room but we had not reported any maintenance issues. A visit to the local cop shop to obtain the much needed police report for our insurance claim resulted in many holiday hours wasted - to cap it all it rained all week and all in all a miserable trip. We travelled February 2017 during half-term. Hotel did offer chocolate truffles as a gesture of goodwill - yes -chocolate truffles for an £800 Iphone that was clearly missing as part of an inside job..🤐Nice hotel grounds.

Dear Adiatu G T, We are very sorry that your phone was lost. As you said, and after having filed the relevant complaint, no conclusion was reached as there was no evidence that the phone had been stolen from the hotel premises. We would also like to say that the employees of both the housekeeping and maintenance departments are of our absolute confidence, due to the number of years they have been linked to the company and their impeccable trajectory. They are always contact with valuable objects and that there has never been any theft by any member of the team. At least the accusation seems to us to be daring to say.
