Excellent aquarium - well-designed and enjoyable

Spent a good part of a day at Poema del Mar while on a day trip with the family to Las Palmas. Everyone really enjoyed the aquarium, especially the giant tank glass wall. Poema del Mar is a new aquarium fully enclosed within a building in Las Palmas. The aquarium uses walkways that take guests past various points of interest, sometimes showing things both from above and below. It may be tempting to just wander at walking speed past the displays, but one should stop to enjoy. The real highlight of the aquarium, however, are the large water column tank and the much bigger giant tank with one of the biggest aquarium glass walls I have ever seen. It is easy to spend hours at the aquarium, as one should take time to enjoy the different attractions. In particular, no one should rush through the tunnel in the giant tank or limit the time spent mesmerized in front of the giant glass wall seeing rays, sharks and fish of various kinds. The entrance fee is on the expensive side, but it is well worth it!
