Interesting aquarium

The new aquarium in Las Palmas is a good choice on a windy day or when a break from the beach is needed. There are two parts of the site. The first focus on tropical forests. It is ok, but a bit disappointing. The space is there for many improvements. As this is the first part you go through you may feel let down. The second part is the aquarium. It is interesting and more than once quite impressive. The huge semi dark room by the largest aquarium has a serene magical quality to it that invites you to stay and gaze at the many fish and sharks in endless motion. It is a bit pricey, but well worth a visit. Go to El Muelle and follow the large new Streets a few hundred metres north to Poema del Mar.
