A wonderfully relaxing quality hotel

Our room was of a good size and very comfortable with an excellent super king size bed and the room service was spot on. In fact all the staff from reception hall to dining rooms and bars were so courteous, friendly and helpful - they complement the hotel facilities perfectly. With beautiful gardens and lake to spend time wandering around as well as a vast spa area providing every type of relaxing from aroma room, steam room and sauna (could have had option to increase temperature?) many jacuzzis and pools with water from very warm to just cool. A well provided gym as well! Fruit in the room on arrival, fresh drinking water each day, chocolate with the turn down service, and gift on departure were all nice touches. We only took breakfast in the hotel but this was excellent in choice and quality. We like eating locally where we stay and use trip advisor for suggestions - and there are some superb restaurants to choose from in the immediate vicinity as well as the older part of Puerto. We used the courtesy taxi to go to the Brunelli Steakhouse and the meal we had there was top quality steak served by lovely staff in a lovely setting. The live music in the evening was ok but would not win any awards. The cocktails however were well mixed! My only complaint was that there was a charge to use the putting green (well cut and 18 holes!), and driving nets - but the clubs and balls were well below par!! We certainly enjoyed our stay in Botanico and while the weather was indifferent the hotel was consistently high quality.
