Yet another lovely stay

This excellent five star hotel justifies its claim to fame. This was our third visit in five years and we hope it won’t be the last. Puerto is a pleasant and busy tourist town, but it is the hotel which is the destination. The staff could not be more welcoming and on several occasions they thanked us for returning. There is obviously some coding system on client lists, eg at breakfast, where the staff are prompted to make such a comment – for us it worked well and came across as genuine. Breakfasts are a highlight (although the chef in charge of frying the eggs could do with a lesson from my Irish grandmother). The mature semi tropical gardens are beautiful with birds singing throughout. The Spa is huge and very well equipped if that is your scene. We tried tai chi there for the first time which we hope to continue at home. You won’t be disappointed in this lovely hotel.
