Luxury!!

After a walking holiday based in Garachico, we decided to have a couple of nights in Puerta de la Cruz then some time in Santa Cruz before returning home. We weren't impressed by Puerta de la Cruz, the best bits being the Botanical Garden (just across the road), La Orotava (a short bus ride away) - and this hotel. I found it initially a bit impersonal and unfriendly, but changed my opinion as time went on. Rooms were big and well-equipped (bath as well as a shower). Excellent range of facilities in the hotel (most of which we didn't have time to use). Complimentary welcome cocktail and canapes with the manager if you're there on a Tuesday. Wonderful pool in the Spa. All in all, very pleased we chose Hotel Botanico.
