Lovely stay

The first thing I loved upon arrival was that we were greeted with people opening the doors, taking our luggage to load onto a luggage trolley, and giving us a drink (which I think was some kind of non-alcoholic juice), and this was before we even checked in. Checking in was easy and they even took our luggage to our rooms for us. The room was big, with a huge bed, big wardrobe, and floor-length mirrors. There were a good selection of TV channels and the view (pool view) was quite nice from the balcony. Breakfast had an impressive range of food that varied from morning to morning, and there was even a chocolate fountain some mornings! There was a shuttle bus to the main town which was great for my grandma, as the walk would have literally killed her. There were also a good selection of day trips and tours that could be booked from the hotel. The pool/spa area was really nice; I especially loved the hot tub in the cave hidden behind the waterfall in the main pool area. The hotel had some beautiful gardens on its grounds, which had fish, flowers, turtles and lizards! There were a good range of restaurants in the hotel, but we didn’t really go in any, instead favouring going out for dinner across the street. The only reason that I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it’s owned by Loro Parque, who I have issues with in terms of animal rights, and I also didn’t like how they kept their birds in a small enclosure in the middle of the restaurant for decoration.
