An Unexpected Pleasure.
By chance, I had the opportunity to visit Puerto de La Cruz at very short notice. Stayed at the Hotel Botanico simply because that's where the Rotary Club meet - which is as good a recommendation as any. Had 2 hectic days - visited Oratva, Mt Teide, Anaga and the Botanic Gardens which are literally just two minutes away on foot (see separate review). However, I digress. The Hotel Botanico is a classical tranquil oasis within the very bust town of Puerto de La Cruz. The pool area, the bar and the entire ambience of the hotel is exceptional. I don't think there is any where else like this on Tenerife. I will be going back again - mainly to experience the spa.
