Great hotel!

This is a really lovely hotel where they pay attention to the comfort of the guest. The styling is traditional (with an oriental slant) and opulent. There are lots of paintings and statues/decorative items in the public areas. I particularly loved the beautiful flower arrangements everywhere - especially the roses. Our room was large and comfortable. There was a gift of wine, water and fruit waiting for us on arrival. They also provide fluffy robes, slippers, a safe, free wifi (but no tea/coffee making facilities). In the evening there is a turn-down service with a chocolate! Breakfast is first-rate: excellent choice in comfortable surroundings. Linen tablecloths and napkins too. Eggs (fried, poached, omelettes) and crepes are cooked to order. We ate in the Oriental restaurant twice and loved it. The outside areas are lovely. The gardens are lit up at night - magical. The sunbeds are very comfortable as they have thick mattresses. Towels are provided (no restriction). The bar offers a great choice of cocktails. I can recommend the champagne cocktail and the mojito! Drinks are served with nibbles and canapés, coffee with biscuits. Service here is very friendly, albeit a little slow sometimes if the person behind the bar is taking drinks outside. There is entertainment on in the evenings. There is a free shuttle bus to the town which is handy as there are a lot of steps - although it is a walkable distance. The last bus into town is at 18.40 and the service stops at lunchtime on Saturday at the weekend. The staff are lovely: helpful and friendly. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable (apart from the weekend when Spanish families arrived to disrupt the peace around the pool - they talked loudly and incessantly!). That said, we would highly recommend this hotel.
