Exquisite service

What a welcome here! I know this is a large luxury hotel with myriad awards to its name; even so, the service and attention of everyone I engaged with exceeded expectations and some. It's worth staying here just for that aspect. Exceptionally clean and decent-size room. Fridge but no kettle. However, a complimentary light breakfast (coffee/tea, juice, pastries) could be delivered on request each morning. Good food in-house including official breakfast buffet. Plenty of eateries within walking distance, though. Pretty grounds and quite the spa facilities, which I didn't take full advantage of, regrettably. Very nice part of Tenerife too with botanical gardens close by and vibrant flora all over. One of the best check-ins and check-outs in my travel experience. Personally, I felt safe walking around late into the evening as it was well lit with lots of people about. I can imagine this area is a little different in high season, although the hotel is set back from the main road and far enough away from the busy row of shops and restaurants so I wouldn't anticipate a disturbance. The town / beach is walkable, but the hotel offers a free shuttle several times a day. A few activities were scheduled during the week, which felt more suitable for mature guests, while nightly entertainment in the bar seemed rather 'cruise ship'. I gave all that a miss so can't really pass comment. Overall, impeccable service, making for a fantastic holiday. Would absolutely return, at the same time of year.
