I was fortunate...
...to spend a Xmas-week in a beautiful ocean view room. My expectations were high hotel being a member of the Leading hotels of world -marketing chain. I was not disappointed. Hotel was quite near in meeting the five-star hotel status. The customer service attitude in restaurants, bar, spa, reception, room cleaning and maintenance were of high standard. Polite but friendly attitude. An extra thank goes to the Hotel Bar personnel – service was outstanding and their attitude and eye for customer service first class. Hotel premises are most elegant, kept extremely clean and the art collection you can study and admire all around you is something you seldom if ever find in a hotel. Being festive season hotel had a well-planned activity program for all ages covering the two-week period. You found a beautifully imposed booklet in three languages in your room. A pleasant surprise was to find a Thai inspired spa area, with both indoor and outdoor pools. Silent, no music, no phones, no drinking or smoking and for adults only. And the softest white towels. What a bliss! Special thanks and greetings go also to the gardeners. The hotel garden is so, so beautiful and cared for with a loving hand. Getting back to the “almost meeting the five-star status”: The Italian restaurant needs to be more careful with invoicing and the receptionists should notice their clients immediately instead of hiding their faces in some paperwork – all at the same time. Oops. I had a nice, relaxed holiday. I rested and sunbathed by the spa pool. I had “aperitivo, copa de cava” in the Hotel bar. I enjoyed tasty meals at the Oriental restaurant. I slept well in the comfortable bed and soft linen. I returned home with fond memories.
