Not Exactly 5 Star But Nice
Just returned from short stay. This hotel certainly hosts grandeur with its beautiful artworks and impressive entrance/hallway, but not what I call 5 star.!!! The room although generous in size was slightly worn! and dated including worn sofa/chair and broken door on the mini bar (which had no price list!). only 1 restaurant open which we were not pre warned of(disappointing) and as local choice of restaurants consists of mainly pizza restaurants don't expect a gastronomic local experience. What else can I say nice pool but don't expect too much!!!! handy supermarket close by to buy the local wine for less than 6 euro which you will pay +20euro at hotel. no information given on arrival about anything!

Dear Glyn, This is not the way we like to receive honest and direct feedback from customers, we have a public relations team that apparently did not receive a single word from you. We also believe that negative feedback is a tool that we can use to explain the following points to the Tripadvisor traveler community: 1.- The minibar door was not broken, what had been loosened is the hinge of the cabinet where the minibar refrigerator is placed inside, our housekeeping team verified it when checking your room upon departure. it is likely that a blow caused the misalignment. 2.- The current gastronomic offer of the Hotel Botánico offers three à la carte restaurants: Italian and Oriental for dinner, and Mediterranean for lunch. room service not included but also available 24 hours. In the event that one is closed for staff rest, there is always an offer from the other restaurant that is closed, we always think about the well-being of our clients so as not to lose any of the options gastronomically. 3.- Due to our sustainability and environmental policy, all paper and plastic in the room have been almost eliminated, replacing all the hotel information with QR, including the minibar and room service. Our informative TV channel has all the digital information of the Hotel 24 hours a day. 4.- The local offer of restaurants can be consulted on Tripadvisor and reflects an exquisite variety of à la carte restaurants, including our successful Steak House Brunellis, where you can taste the best matured meats on the island, among other options. 5.- Last but not least is the range of Canarian wines that are included in our wine list, carefully chosen for their variety, origin and quality. It is obvious that the corkage, the wine service, the atmosphere, the opening by the sommelier, the correct temperature and other aspects have an impact on the final price.
